A la Comunidad de Academia Oportunidad:

Queremos informarles que, a pesar de la difícil decisión de suspender temporalmente las operaciones de la escuela para el año escolar 2023-2024, seguiremos apoyando a nuestros talentosos estudiantes de las siguientes maneras:

1. Reabriremos nuestro programa sabatino orientado a la investigación científica. Este programa extracurricular estructurado permitirá a los estudiantes seguir desarrollando sus habilidades e intereses como investigadores.

2. Ofreceremos apoyo curricular diferenciado en línea para cada estudiante en las materias fundamentales: matemáticas, español, estudios sociales y ciencias naturales. De esta forma garantizaremos que sigan avanzando académicamente de acuerdo a sus altas capacidades.

3. Promover y formentar el liderazgo destacando la necesidad de los principios éticos y morales que lo sustenten.

4. Mantendremos las clases de inglés en línea para reforzar sus habilidades en este idioma tan importante.

Aunque no podamos reabrir en el corto plazo, seguiremos comprometidos con impulsar el potencial de nuestros estudiantes superdotados. Continuaremos buscando soluciones para superar los desafíos que nos mantienen cerrados y, haciendo todos los esfuerzos humanamente posible, poder reanudar nuestras actividades presenciales en el futuro.

We want to inform you that, despite the difficult decision to temporarily suspend school operations for the 2023-2024 school year, we will continue supporting our talented students in the following ways:

1. We will reopen our Saturday program focused on scientific research. This structured extracurricular program will allow students to continue developing their skills and interests as researchers.

2. We will offer differentiated online curriculum support for each student in core subjects: mathematics, Spanish, social studies, and natural sciences. This will ensure they continue advancing academically according to their high abilities.

3. Promote and encourage leadership, emphasizing the need for the ethical and moral principles that support it.

4. We will maintain English classes online to reinforce their skills in this very important language.

Although we cannot reopen in the short term, we remain committed to fostering the potential of our gifted students. We will continue seeking solutions to overcome the challenges that keep us closed and, making every possible human effort, be able to resume our in-person activities in the future.

We thank you for your unconditional trust and support during these years. Together we will move forward and continue our innovative educational mission for the exceptional talents of our country.
